“I can’t believe that for a minute I was actually interested in Atwood. laughs Okay, no offense.”
“None taken, biatch.”
They say there’s nobody older than a high school senior, but nobody younger than a college freshman. Well, I guess now we’ll find out, as we begin our journey…Amicitiae nostrae memoriam spero sempiternam fore. And just because we’re leaving Harbor doesn’t mean our learning is done. We must learn as long as we may live. If I could leave you all with just one word of final advice, don’t let the bastards get you down.

Well… I don’t know what to say. Except that you totally had my back out there. You were like out of Fight Club or something. I don’t know.

I hate how so many people hated Marissa Cooper and were glad she died. To me, she was always the most real and relatable. She just got lost, but don’t all of us? I always felt like she was the one character who really reflected how people change when the things around them change, but deep down they’re still the same person. No matter what happened in her life, she was fiercely protective of those around her. Apart from a brief part of season 3, she was ALWAYS there for Summer. She shot someone to save Ryan’s life. I love her, I would’ve loved to see her future. The people who hated Marissa Cooper just hated seeing how maybe they were more like her than they wanted to be.

FAVORITE PILOTS | THE O.C. - August 5, 2003 “Pilot”
Marissa: So, what do you think of Newport?
Ryan: I think I could get into a lot less trouble where I’m from.
Marissa: You have no idea.
